Moberly leaders celebrate new metal theft law

(Moberly Monitor Index) State legislators, law enforcement and community leaders gathered Tuesday to mark the start of the new law aimed at reducing copper theft. The event, sponsored by the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce and Moberly Economic Development Council, was designed to bring public attention to the legislation – SB 1034 – and to praise local state Sen. Chuck Graham and representatives Judy Baker and Therese Sander for supporting the bill.
